Our Beginning
In January 1984, the Bell System divested itself into seven regional operating companies, with AT&T becoming primarily a long-distance provider. Opportunity presented itself in a number of ways. Competitors soon came to market with long distance alternatives. Manufacturers followed with equipment options while service companies sprang up to fill the need.
Business Telephone Supply was founded in 1984 by Raymond Fuller to help businesses put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Originally known as Business Telephone Supply, the company has been recognized as being THE leading provider of telephone systems in the Dubuque area market.
Ray’s sons, Lou and Steve Fuller, joined Business Telephone Supply shortly after the business was formed and brought with them an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to expand on the early success of Business Telephone Supply by broadening their reach into the market.

Our staff includes trained system technicians, BICSI certified cabling technicians and installers and an RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer). Each is trained to ensure your systems equipment and structured cabling are uniquely designed and installed to standards that will exceed your expectations. All installations are certified, tested and warranted to the manufacturers’ specifications.
Our customer’s premise equipment offering as improved greatly in recent years because of new affiliations with leading, worldwide telecommunication firms such as: NEC Corporation, Mitel, Coredial and net2phone. Each with its own version of Digital, UC, Voice-Over-IP (VoIP), IP-blended and TDM switches designed to fit the customer’s needs. Our sales and technical staff are factory trained and certified to help you identify the best fit for your unique needs, seamlessly implement and maintain your solutions.
